Laminate floor installation step 1: cleaning the floor and leveling

Sweep all the sand and dust on the concrete floor, especially the sand. If it is not cleaned, it will directly affect the pavement effect of the composite floor, especially the solid wood composite floor. After the pavement, it is easy to be caused by the sand. This results in empty drums or rustling sounds.

After cleaning the ground, you need to do a good job of leveling. You can use a spirit level to check the level of the ground. If the height difference is more than 3 mm, you must use cement mortar to level the surface to control the height difference of the surface layer within 3 mm. After leveling the ground, be sure to clean it again to avoid a large amount of dust and particles remaining on the surface.

Laminate floor installation step 2: Laying moisture-proof film

Once you have leveled and cleaned the floor, you can lay up a moisture-proof film. The moisture-proof film of the floor is actually a PE film. It is a plastic film processed with polypropylene as a raw material. It is very waterproof and heat-sealable. When it is laid on the ground, it can prevent water vapor leakage from affecting the composite floor.

The thickness of the moisture-proof film should not be less than 5 mm. Generally, it should be kept between 5-10 mm, and the joint of the two moisture-proof films must maintain an overlap of 5, 6 cm. At the same time, it should be sealed with waterproof tape Strict. In addition, the moisture-proof film should extend about 5 cm above the wall surface, which is generally slightly lower than the height of the skirting line. This can effectively prevent water vapor from penetrating into the floor along the wall surface.
